HOW CAN WE COME TO A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH?

| | Comments (0)

How Do We Come To A Knowledge Of  The Truth?

Truth is a huge Bible subject. It is a moral, therefore a spiritual subject.

To consult the wrong source can lead to eternal separation from God.

The opposite of truth is a lie. Jesus said the devil is a liar and the father of

it. (JOHN 8:44)

When we hear the term "church" as described in the New Testament,

we should also think of the truth. In 1 Timothy 3:15, Paul (inspired by the

Holy Spirit) describes the church as "the pillar and ground of the truth."

While it is true that the church did not create truth, it is responsible for

defending and standing on truth. The statement,"come to the knowledge

of the truth" is used by Paul in his letters to Timothy.

It is  sad that there are still people like Paul describes as those that are

"ever learning and never able to come to a knowlege of the truth.                          " In our time we can see this same thing happening. Many blind pretensious, commercial socalled preachers are thriving materially

as they ignore the teachings of the New Testament but with their charm

build up big churches  with those who like them, have never

taken the time to seriously search for truth.

eyes of God.      Byrl Brockman

CAN WE KNOW THE TRUTH?

| | Comments (0)

                                        CAN WE KNOW THE TRUTH?

In John 8:32,, Jesus reminds us that truth will liiberate us from the bondage of

of sin and make us free to do God's will. Ignorance does not nor can it free one

of the responsibility of being in search of this freedom. In John 18;37 Pillate asked

Jesus, "Are you a king then?" Jesus answered the question ,"Every one who is of the truth hears my voice." Piilate showed no intention of hearing the voice of Jesus.

There are those who say, "There is no truth." That statement would have to be false

in a world where truth does not exist. Everything can be classified  as absolutely true or

absolutely fallse.

The devil tries to change absolutes in the mind of man. In Isaiah 5:20 God says,"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil.; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter."

May we all recognize that truth still stands every test.

The Truth is Still Relevant Today

| | Comments (0)

Truth is the main theme of the Bible from Genesis to the last book of the Bible.

No one can claim to be a Christian, nor claim to know about God or the Holy

Spirit apart from bibical, spiritual truth. In Deuteronomy 32:4 He is called,"a God of

truth." In John 14:6 Jesus says, "I am the truth". In John 16:13, Jesus calls the Holy

Spirit  "the Spirit of truth."To abandon truth is to relinquish all claims to Salvation.

While truth is demanded in our legal system as an oath before giving testamony, while we demand truth in advertising, man seems less concerned about spiritual truth.

It ks very important that followers of Christ bear the banner of Christ if for no other reason, it will be our judge in the last day.

THE CHRISTIAN HAS LIMITED LIBERTY

                         THE CHRISTIAN HAS LIMITED LIBERTY

Some think they are at liberty to introduce anything into

God's worship, providing that God has not, in so many

words prohibited it. This is evidently a mistake. Such a plan

of prodeedure would open the floodgates for inumerable

innovations. On this principle every kind of food might be

brought into the Lord's Supper, and the offering of

animal sacrifices and the burning of insence might be added

to the worship. One must remember that law is inclu-

siive and exclusive, including the things commanded and

excluding all else. This principle is too well known to

need argument. Besides in religious matters, God alone

has the right to guide man , and when man undertakes

to add forms of service or worship not authorized by God's

law, he assumes perogatives which belong excxlusively

to God. He is presuming to to take the office of God, and one

who has proper reverance for God so regards him.

When God told Noah to build the ark he said to him,"See that you build it

according to the pattern I showed you." Man needs to understand that God's word

today gives us a pattern by which we direct the affairs of life pleasing to Him!

WHY OBEDIENCE IS VERY IMPORTANT

| | Comments (0)

                         WHY OBEDIENCE IS VERY IMPORTANT

God is fitting and preparing for Christians to live with

Him in heaven eternally. In heaven  God's will must

reign supreme, otherwise confusion and disorder will

prevail. In heaven they serve Him. (Rev.7:15; 22:3)

Joyful, loving obedience will be there, but we must live

righteously while we live on earth. Here we form our

characters God is seeking in this preparatory school to train

us in the art of obedience. "Thy will be done as in heaven,

so on earth. (Matt. 6:10) No man can sincerely make this

request of God unless he is willing for the will of

God to reign supreme in his own heart. No one in heaven

will insist that God's commandments are non-

essential. Such characters will not be there.

Friends, enroll in God's school now while we are on earth, that we

can enjoy eternally the bliss of heaven !                                      OLD TESTAMENT EXAMPLES

The Bible is the best  seller in the world. This is an indication that

it contains the mind of God. He made us and has given His

guide book to show us the way we can live and at death, die in

hope of going to heaven and live there eternally.

The Bible has the Old and  New Testaments. It was inspired comming f

from the mind of the only and true God. 40 men wrote giving man the

choice of learning His Divine will and obeying its requirements .

The message of the Old Testament is, "THE CHRIST IS COMMING".

The message of the New Testament is, "JESUS HAS COME"

Jesus fulfilled every prophecy that speaks of His comming. It is important

for man to search the scriptures of both testaments to find and

obey the good news that Jesus brought when He came to save us. .
