                       GRANDPA  WAS  THOUGHTFUL!

                         "He went to the hospital one night

                              to see a sinner friend he had not

                              been able to reach.

                          The man, beginning to rally from

                              surgery asked, "Why are the shades pulled?"

                           The preacher answered, "I asked the nurse to do that, Tom.

                                You see, there's a fire across the street,

                                 and I didn't want you to think

                                 the operation had been a failure."
