WHAT WILL YOU MAKE OF YOUR CHILDREN?

| | Comments (0)

WHAT WILL YOU MAKE OF YOUR CHILDREN?

A blacksmith maks $5.00 worth of iron into

horseshoes, and gets $10.00 for them.

A cutler makes  the same iron into knives and

gets $200.00.

The machinist makes the same iron into need-

les and gets $6,800.00.

The watchmaker takes it amd makes it into

mainsptings and gets $2,00,000.00; or into hair-

springs and gets $2,000,00,.00; sixty times the

value of the same weight in gold.

So it is with life and the opportunity that

is given to each of us, One takes his time

and talents and combines them to advance

his earthly interests alone. Another takes the

same opportunity and, through wisdom and coun

of God's Word, shapes and molds his life for

time and eternity-

One set of parents will bring children intio

the world and give no thought at all to the eternal

destiny of their children: They simply allow them

to "grow bigger", With no higher aim to their

existance than to make money and spend money

in the persuit of satisfying the lust of the flesh.

Another set of parents will will bring children in-

to the world and immediately set about to point

to Almighty God. In doing so, they do the

best thing that parents can do for their pre-

cious children.

It  has been said, "that every child has a right

to a Christian mother and father."

QUESTION?  What are we as parents making of

the precious  children that God has given us to

prepare them for their eternal destiny??

BECAUSE YOU WILL BE NEXT

                 BECAUSE YOU WILL BE NEXT

Recently a friend of mine passed away. His brother

was standing near him in his last minutes crying. He

asked his brother to come close to his face. As the

brother came  near to his face he whispered, "The

only reason you are crying is because you know that

you will be next."

As I thought about this event, I was reminded that

the day is coming each of us will be next to

depart this life.  In Hebrews 9:27, the writer reminds

us that every man will meet his appointment to die

and after this we will be judged before the throne of

Jesus.

This judgement will be a fair judgement, because

Christ  will be the judge.

Those who are aware of the many warnings in

the Bible of death and the judgement, should be

motivated to prepare in life, so that the judgement

will be a joyful event without fear.
