THE GRACE OF GOD - TITUS 2:11-12

| | Comments (0)

" For the grace of God that brings salvation

has appeared to all men, teaching us that,

denying ungodliness and worldly lust , we

should live soberly, righteously, and Godly

        in this present world;"

Many religious people seem to think that

God's grace gives permision to live in a

sinful way and yet be pleasing to him.

Paul the spostle, discusses grace in Romans

chapter five. For fear that the Romans would

take a  wrong view of grace, Paul asks the question

begining in Chapter 6 , " What shall we say then?

Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin,

continue to live any longer therein?

Some think that if the Bible does not say

"Thou shalt not", regarding a certain thing,

that they can practice anything they choose

to do. This has contributed to much of the

confusion in our religious world. While

doing many good works, men ignore the plain

             commandments of Jesus. Friends, doing

good works while ignoring the Word of God,

             is sinful.

May God help us to have proper respect for

His Word and to live within it's counsel.
